Hailing from Missoula, Montana, Déjà Vu (later changed to DAIJHA VU) started as a dynamic jazz trio that came together in a remarkable way.

 

It began with the lead singer, Daijha Brown, reaching out to trusted friends in the local Missoula area after being left without accompaniment 5 days before her debut on December 7th, 2025.

 

This led to the formation of the band. With only two days of rehearsal before the big show, a once panicked Instagram dm to saxophone player, Sam Haveron, blossomed into a wicked cool quintet providing Montana  and surrounding areas with classic jazz, funk, pop, R&B, and contemporary influences. 

 

DAIJHA VU is truly unique—you’ll never experience the same performance twice. Each set thoughtfully weaves together a wide range of styles and genres, showcasing both deep musical knowledge and fearless creativity. In one moment, you might hear influences from jazz icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, Chet Baker, and in the next, a seamless nod to artists such as Hayley Williams of Paramore, Judy Garland, Billie Eilish, Childish Gambino, or Stevie Wonder.

Led by the soulful, expressive vocals of Daijha Brown, the group delivers a rich and dynamic sound supported by smooth saxophone and trumpet lines, keys, double bass, guitar, and drums.
